Special Exhibit: Hubble ViewSpace
Donated by Space Science For Schools, a 39” monitor provides a one-hour, continually-updated, multimedia exhibit experience through NASA’s Hubble ViewSpace program.
ViewSpace, updated daily over the internet, includes:
- Celestial Tours: In-depth and highly visual explorations of a wide range of intriguing astronomical subjects.
- Hubble Update: The latest images and science discoveries from the Hubble Space Telescope, delivered to your screen the moment they are released.
- Celestial Update: News from the frontiers of astronomy, with particular emphasis on the latest from the other NASA Great Observatories.
- Astronomy Picture of the Day: A new astronomically-themed image with interpretive text, every day.
- Mars Exploration Rover Update: Status updates on the Mars Exploration Rovers as they explore Mars.
- Cassini-Huygens Update: Reports from the Saturn orbiter and Titan lander.
- Skylines: Beautifully illustrated introductions to the constellations, planets, deep sky objects, and special astronomical events of the night sky, updated monthly.
- Comet Mission Update: Follow NASA’s Deep Impact probe as it progresses toward a July 2005 impact with comet Tempel 1, a collision that may blast out a crater the size of a football stadium and give us our first look inside a comet.
- Radio Astronomy Update: Offered in collaboration with the National Radio Astronomy Observatory, the latest images and discoveries from the largest telescopes in the world.
