Project WET

(Water Education for Teachers)

This action-packed, hands-on workshop is for anyone interested in natural resources and environmental education, and is especially useful for school teachers and docent educators in the Tahoe-Truckee region.

What is Project WET? Project WET activities engage students with hands-on, interdisciplinary lessons that teach important concepts about water. Project WET activities are designed to satisfy the goals of educational programs by complementing existing curricula rather than displacing or adding more concepts. Project WET activities provide many opportunities to address curricular objectives and educational standards. These interdisciplinary activities are designed for students in grades K-12 and are perfect for use in formal and non-formal education settings.

Project WET workshops focus on activities relevant to the Lake Tahoe region. All activities are correlated to the State Standards for Science, History/Social Studies and English/Language Arts. The goal of Project WET (Water Education for Teachers) is to promote the awareness, appreciation, and knowledge of our water resources. Participants can purchase a copy of the Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide Book for only $15 and receive other FREE materials!
